Linking to other blog is one of the easiest way to drive traffic to your own blog.
Here’s some reason why outbound links can help to increase blogs traffic:

Outbound link is not just helps your readers to find interesting and valuable information, but it also help the blogger you linked to, to receive more traffic. This traffic is valuable because people coming from your link are interested in the content they find.
Outbound links to other blogs does not directly help you with your SEO (search engine optimization) rankings, but it helps you getting more visitors. And maybe bloggers that you linked to will try to give back the link love you gave them, and in their next posts they will put a link back to one of your posts which will bring in interested visitors to you. In the end it’s just like a give and take.
Whenever you link to another blog from yours, a trackback will show up in the comments section of the post you have linked to.
Sometime this might get you some additional visitors to your blog, because there’s many people will click on the link in the trackback to see what others have to say about the topic.
Don’t link out randomly
Don´t just link for the links sake. First is you need to know about what you are linking to. It’s not that it will affect your SEO, but it´s important to only linking to high quality content.
Remember, your readers trust you, otherwise they would not read your blog. Do not disappoint them by linking out to irrelevant content.
Expand your community
By linking to other blogs can make your network expand. Try to find a blog that you have never visited before but with content matching your topics. You´ll probably find a post there worth linking to it. Some of these new bloggers may even become a regular reader of your blog.
